What's the deal?  I have two machines, one with XP and the other with that God awful Vista...  I have two totally different Regedit softwares installed but neither one of them will allow me to change anything in the registry of my Mogul.  I'm about to throw it... that's what I'm seriously working on!

Why is it I can't seem to change any values?

You receive that message because, again, you are not supposed to press "TALK".

Currently, I have a problem in which no ##***# code brings-up its application. It might be a registry a changed... I don't know but many people had told me having the same problem. I know that if I do a hard reset I CAN input ##***# code and they do bring up their application but I just don't want to do that right know.

I will let you know if I find what the problem is.

Another thing... that hack might not be applicable for the Mogul. I will check that up and perhaps remove the hack from the list or... It might be a Verizon code?

Does any one know?

Do you have the wizard retouch? If so remove it. I had the same problem.

Change "Delivery Ack" from 1 to 0

Now go to HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox

Once on 'Inbox', start a new 'key' and name it "Settings" when done, click on your new key Settings

Now you should be on HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Inbox\Settings

Start a new 'Dword' and name it "SMSNoSentMsg" with the 'Value Data' of "1″.

There is no:

and then create a NEW DWORD named Delivery Ack.

Set the value data for it to 0.

Worked great for me on my mogul.

Out of curiosity, why isn't the quieter vibrate function registry tweak located IN Hai-Zi's mod page? I'd been searching for WEEKS before I finally misclicked on the FAQ page, haha.

I humbly ask if Hai-Zi will someday update the Hacks page by removing the ones that might have been done in the latest rom and adding any new ones that might be relevant.

I have being using/hacking PocketPCs since 1994 and my current projects in life are keeping me away from hacking and playing arround with, in this case, my Mogul. Currently I don't have a single hack on my Mogul... I guess that tells you enough!! I have plans to do some though...

I have done changes to the list... the ones that members email/pm  me and inform me about but in the past 6 months or so, only 4 or 5 members had contacted me with updates. I still frequent this forum quite often so I won't fall behind"  but in order to update the list, I need to either twick and play arround with hacks or get the input from members that have discovered a 'working' hack or have find a hack to be obsolete... at this point and for six to eight more months, I have to wait for members input!

The Guide is a great place to start when tweaking the Mogul -- Hai-zi you've put together a very nice list.

I would like to add a new one that applies to the new 3.35 ROM - I didn't see it in your current list and if it already showed up somewhere else in the forum - I apologize for the redundancy.

ActiveSync is back running all the time in the background -- even if you add the dummy server for Sync and set to Manual - it still appears.

I found this fix  - go to Phone/menu/options/services/time synchronization and uncheck the synchronization.

You can always go back and manually update the synchronization but this fix will keep ActiveSync quiet till you need it.
