Of course the first thing that comes to mind for me is the better screen and faster internet speeds. I have my media center served using Orb so I can stream shows from my phone. The only time I could use this feature with my Q was when I had excellent service. The Mogul seems to be getting three times the bandwith that the Q did so streaming is no problem and shows look great in landscape.

The only decent backup software I could find for the Q was Sprite Backup, and it was pretty bad. It actually had to reboot the phone before doing a backup, which wouldn't have been too bad, except the Q wouldn't reboot. It just turned off. This meant your phone was off until you turned it back on and THEN it did the backup. Basically useless if you like to schedule regular backups.

There's so much more software availalbe for Pocket PC in general that I feel I have so many more options. The fact that the Mogul has Java allows for even more software, although I've yet to install a java program.

The keys on the Q are too tiny for my big fingers and dialing a phone number was annoyingly difficult. The touch screen allows for large keys so I don't feel like I'm playing operation.

I'm sure I'll think of some more...after all, I've only had my Mogul for half a day! :)

There must be a bunch more wrong with the Q since there have been tons of stories of Sprint actually trading their Q out for the Mogul.

I saw your post on Qusers and came over to check out the site.  Hopefully, this will grow and be a good source.  I currently have a Q and I am not very excited about it any longer for many of the same reasons you made the switch for.

How is the actual phone quality compared to the Q?  I love the flexibility a PPC/SP gives you, but at the end of the day I still need it to make good phone calls!  it is my primary line.

IMHO, as long as the phone is kept working, it works well. By this I mean you can't just install programs haphazardly and leave programs running using up memory. I've run into a few instances where some piece of software caused my Mogul to become unresponsive, but this can't really be faulted to the phone. I would not recommend the Mogul to a beginner. In fact, my wife has a Q and wont be moving to the Mogul for that specific reason.

If, however, you can be mindful of the Mogul's limitations (ie. memory) and be smart about what programs you install and leave running then I think it's an excellent phone.

The only quality related issue I've heard was with bluetooth, but there's a registry fix (see the tweak forums. I don't use BT headsets so I can't test it myself, but I'm sure you'll be hearing from other users if it's still a problem.

Cheers!

also my Q had horrible charging issues when you plugged it in it didnt for sure mean it was charging which was most annoying about it.  Sometimes youd wake up to a dead phone randomly
