ok i seen this posted but i dont quite understand how to do this!? ive tried everything and i cant get it to work. i was working with it all night last night and still nothing =[ so if anyone has tried this or know how to get it 2 work ill greatly appreciate your help.

also im afraid if i try this if i will have an high bill just like as if i use my phone as a modem through usb.


or does this not allow sprint to see that u have been using ur phone for internet like on ur laptop.



also im not sure how far away can my laptop be from my phone till it wont work no more. it drops its signal.

btw this app works great. make sure you read the whole tutorial before you try this though cause it does skip around a bit but it does work great!

yes ive noticed it skipped around alot. like it really starts n the middle than back at the top than at the end or something like that. but i still cant figure this out. ive read it all. over n over n over. n still cant figure this out. since i assume u already figured it out do you think you can help me out!?

Setup Summary

1.   Setting up an Ad Hoc WiFi connection on your mobile device

1. Make sure your WiFi radio is on.
2. Go to Start->Settings->"Connections" tab.
3. Select "Wi-Fi" applet.
4. On the "Wireless" tab, select "Add New...".

5. Type any network name you would like for your Ad Hoc network (eg. WMobileAdHoc)
6. Make sure the "This is a device-to-device (ad-hoc) connection" option is checked.

7. Select the "Next" button.
8. On the "Configure Network Authentication" screen, select "Open" for the Authentication type, and "Disabled" for Data Encryption. For the purposes of testing, lets verify the connection works without encryption, if it does, you can modify your Ad Hoc connection properties later to enable the encryption mode of your choice.

9. Select the "Next" button.
10. Select "Finish" on the final screen.

2.  Configuring a static IP address on your WiFi device

1. Go to Start->Settings->"Connections" tab.
2. Select the "Wi-Fi" applet.
3. On the "Network Adapters" tab, select your WiFi device (for the HTC Mogul this is the item listed as "IEEE 802.11b/g Compatible Wi-Fi Adapter").

4. On the "IP Address" tab, select the "Use specific IP address" radio button. For the IP address enter the value "192.168.0.9" with a Subnet mask of "255.255.255.0".

5. OK the dialog.

3.   Download/uncompress the contents of ishare_over_wifi_usb_edition_v0.2.zip to a folder on your mobile device (eg. \Program Files\WiFiShare).

1. Download this file to your computer then unzip it into a folder named WiFiShare http://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=56924&d=1194244283
2. move this folder over to your phone and with file explorer move it to Windows\Program Files
3. Copy the correct hacked "intshare.dll" into the same folder as you created in the above step (so it's in the same folder as "intshrui.exe"). The one for the mogul is TNETW12511. Put that in the WiFiShare Folder.

4. Setup an Ad Hoc WiFi connection on your client device

1. each computer of device is different. I had a MAC so it finds it automatically so I will skip this step I would skip this step anyways and come back to it after you are all finished.

5. Now download WMWiFiRouter

1. the file is here http://www.jongma.org/WMWifiRouter/WMWifiRouter.zip
2. now unzip this file then move it to the mogul.  Windows\Start Menu\Programs

6. Run the program

1. Run WMRouter from your programs make sure wifi switch is off when you do this.....then the program will try to turn on the wifi. at this point you flip the switch and the access point is created.
2. see if your computer automatically finds the connection if not go back to step 4 and set up the connection on your computer.

hey i cant thank you enough. those directions you posted for me work perfectly. everything works perfect! i got it 2 work and im so happy. lol. i really appreciate your help alot. it got straight to the point no jumping around. it told me how to do it without confusion. sure i was still a lil confused on those directions for a lil bit than i finally figured it out and felt dumb becuase these directions were so easy.

but yes i was just wondering do  you know how i can make my wireless connection like password protected so only me or who ever else i want to be able to access my internet from my phone can. because i dont want it where like everyone in my neighborhood can access it you know? just only the computers i want.

also one more question. is this going charge me an arm an a leg. can sprint detect that im using my internet thats meant to be for my phone now on my computer? im not planning to like download anything really at all. i just read that if you use your internet from your phone on your computer through usb that sprint can detect it if you dont have like an certain program. same here with this or no its not detectable. i would really like to know before i start to use it alot more than i have already started 2. thank you once again. and thank you in advance for hopefully some answers to my few other questions.

to password protect go to

Setting then connections tab click on wifi then click on the name of the connection you created then click next you can see it says open then disabled click on either open and change that or click on disabled and change that you will see network key open up and you can type stuff in.

now the reason i said change either is because some devices wont use certain kinds of network keys so you will have to play around with it. after your done with that just hit next then finish

as for the charging you thing.......i dont think it can be detected however im not 100% sp keep watch on your bill

there is a new cab for wifi router out that you do not need all these steps just run the cab file and it does everything else for you if anyone needs it let me know
