Hello there. Maybe this will get Pinned and solve the question of: How do I download from this site. We will use the example of the "Today Screen Speed Dial" program.
You will notice that VISIT is circled. This is the link to DOWNLOAD the file since there isnt a download button. Before you proceed read on.
In order to successfully download find the file you want (example as shown above). You must Press & Hold the CTRL key on your keyboard. Do not release this key until shown in this tutorial.
Next Click on VISIT. This will cause a popup to appear with your download. If you don't see this then you have your popup blocker turned on and may need to add this site to your accepted site list.
Next Click on SAVE. This will cause a dialog to appear to finish saving. If this dialog appears then you may Release the CTRL key at this time.
Finish the download like you normally do. This shot was taken from a Windows Vista Machine. Good Luck!

hey, im new to this website and trying to downlaod has been hell for me. i've completed all the steps like you mentioned above. however, when im done downloading the file, it comes up as empty and with a bunch of numbers underneath it and i cant open it. got any suggestions

I have been downloading from the site since August, but for some reason when I do all of the above, sometimes it still does not work and the pop up blocker is turned off.... I get an error 404 message in Firefox and Internet Explorer. I am Not sure why that happens.

You didnt mention if you were successful at all on any of your attempts. I will assume you were at some point. If you are getting a ERROR 404 its that the link is dead for the most part. Identify the link to Gaines so that he may check it out.
You can reach him via email by clicking on his name on the bottom of the page.
EDIT: I added a shortcut for the files to the tutorial above. You can click on that. Remember if you click on the link and the file doesnt popup then the link is dead.

Most files for downloading are CAB files. These are meant to be copied to the mogul then ran. A CAB File is an executable Zip file. Inside it are settings to install the program, update the registry, etc.

Thanks for the info Jeff,
Yes I was able to download in the past especially when there used to be a download link.
You pointed out that some of the links may be dead, which I found out by trying to download files I already had or didn't need. I was able to download some programs but not others, it seems to be quite a few that aren't able to be downlaoded.

All right. So I tried your tips on downloading from this site and am still have problems. I have tried disabling my popblockers and have used the CTRL key while clicking on the visit tab. When I do this it opens a new box in internet explorer, which goes directly to my homepage. Not sure what I am doing wrong. Any suggestions would be appreciated
