I'm definitely considering one of these but the number 1 priority for me is how well the phone functions, more specifically how is the call quality and also the ability to hold calls in fringe areas?

For example, I currently have a Sanyo VI-2300. Absolute best phone I've ever had. It picks up and holds calls that Samsung or Motorola could never do.

How is the Mogul? Does it have Sanyo call holding quality or is it a call dropper like the rest?

I've never used a Sanyo phone and just switched carriers so I can't really compare the Sprint Mogul to other phone on the Sprint network. I will say that everything I've read indicates that the reception on this phone is as good or better than it's HTC predecessors. I haven't read about any dropped calls. I have read about some people complaining about the quality of the bluetooth audio, but there are some well documented fixes (registry changes) which have been said to fix the issue. Again, I haven't used bluetooth on mine yet so can't say personally.

Always a good idea to try it out before buying. Luckily, I was within the first 30 days of my contract so I could exchange if I wanted a different phone.

Rumor has says it'll be a July 18th release date in stores.
