Sprint always seems to take a beating in the comments at sites like engadget, giz & BGR, which brings me to my question directly to Sprint customers who use the same device I do. Coverage is often the main cause of complaint, but that varies with every carrier by region.

What is your overall feeling being a customer of Sprint with the Mogul? Also, where do you use your Sprint service?

My experience with Sprint has been very positive one, which is why it baffels me why its loosing so many customers. Every company seems to have problems of various types. Sure, nobody is perfect. Verizon service worked best for many years, but Sprint expanded their 3G network to the Portland Oregon market and thats when I got my first Sprint phone, the PPC-6700. As soon as the Mogul arrived, I got it the first week and have loved it ever since. Sprint roams on Verizon towers, so I get the best of both services with the lower price from Sprint. With the great coverage in my area and everywhere I travel, I don't think I could ever leave if everything stays the same or gets better. My Mogul is the ultimate tool for your pocket. I mean, c'mon WMWifiRouter is the single greatest feature of my 3G device. Any mobile user with a laptop or other wifi device can appreciate this. Not only that, but remote desktop, slingplayer and the many other features make it a no brainer for ultimate functionality packed into your pocket. Sure the graphics could be smoother, but I don't see that as a deal breaker.

Its a hit or miss with CS at Sprint some times the reps get a really shitty person and it just screws every1 after them over in getting a bad rep. Me personaly dislikes Sprint I've been told one thing and then they do the otherbecause the person that said it wasn't is a way high enough to do it. Sprint is going down the drain and I'm hoping that their new CEO that never replys to e-mails fixxes Sprints downfall. Its just luck to get some1 that knows about phones with Sprint I have been told to my face I'm not smart enough to use my phone yet I know more then he does about their plans, phones, and fine print. (next day since his manager was a friend the guy was fired) but to me you have to have a friend on the inside to get help at least with what I have gone through. Also now that I am not under contract I am treated better because I can say Im going to leave if they don't fix their mistake( i dont use that to scam) but if they help me and solve my prob. or are honest with me  I think very highly about Sprint and they r on my good side but if they say I cant do something when I know I can then I get that bad vib about them.

Sure our phones have prob.s but Sprint has pushed very hard for us to get almost what we want  which is a ver kind thing so for that I thank Sprint but when they lie and are rude thats the bad side of Sprint..

Cant wait for the 4G phones and service coming out in a while.

Haha, no way. The Micro$oft guy will just get a custom phone and we'll all get screwed over again! - oniisan608 IRC CHANNEL irc://irc.freenode.net/SprintMogul.net

I personally have had almost no problems with sprint. Coverage is great in my area. When I travel, I usually get great signal. There are some places that are dead zones for me outside my normal areas, but every provider has bad pockets like this. As fas as dealing with customer service, I almost always go into the store. Sure it is 15 minutes away, but that is much better than sitting on hold for and hour. When I go in to the store, the employees there are usually able to take care of my problem and if they can't, they call straight through to whoever and it gets handled. The real bottom line is, what are you willing to put up with because in all honesty, all providers have problems. The main reason I chose sprint over everyone else was because of pricing. Every provider in my area has pretty much the same quality of coverage so it turned into a service price issue and sprint fit my needs best. I probably have to say that if start jacking their prices up above everyone else, I'll drop them and move on. Kind of hard for me to do though since I get a 22% discount through my work. Speaking of, does anyone else find 22% to be an odd number for a discount?

I email customer service.  I found better results because.  I can explain my thoughts of the problem without emotion, and they can take their time to research the problems. So, I found for me, email was the best route.  With regard to coverage...its not bad.  There are some spots where it Roams but thats ok.

Ya e-mail is the best so far that I have found out cause you cant tell if the person is mad or sad or anything and they cant tell also.

Another factor your average customer does not realize about service coverage, is the fact that different phones models produce different coverage results. People are quick to blame the carrier for bad coverage, but in all reality, it could just be the crappy device you were using.

I don't care much for sprint as a whole.  The customer service is fine but the call quality sucks.  My girlfriend also has sprint and has the same call issues and she lives about 40 miles away.  I also have Verizon and the call quality with them is excellent.

I've never had any problems with Sprint. Anytime I've had a problem I used ecare and the issue was resolved or answered satisfactory. I've never had any coverage issues here in Jersey, pretty much from the top to bottom of the state.

I think Sprint has gotten a bum rap in the media when it comes to customer service. Sure, they have their share of CS problems, but if you read any other carrier message boards you'll read the same complaints that you here about Sprint. I usually follow tech/phone news closely and it seems to me that Sprint is picked on more that the other carriers. Maybe it seems that way since I'm a little biased as a Sprint customer. Back to the original question, no problems with service, the Mogul more than met my expectations, and $30 Sprint SERO can't be beat.

Edit: here's an article about Sprint's latest quarterly report. Ok, granted BGR isn't known for it's cutting edge reporting and is somewhat tongue in cheek. But to basically say Sprint as a company is finished and "it's time for you to quit, Sprint", is utterly ridiculous. Yes, Sprint is going through some tough times, but they are trying to improve things, which takes time. They do still have 51 million customers. There's no need to panic just yet.

I love my Mogul.  Sprint itself, not so keen on.  Their customer service in general is terrible.  If you are persistant enough you can get a rep who actually knows what they are doing, and DOESN'T treat you like crap.

As far as the actual service, I really don't have any major complaints with it.  My house happens to be in somewhat of a dead spot, which kind of sucks, since I don't have a home phone.  I still GET signal, but only one or two bars at my house.  Pretty much everywhere else in town, I have full signal.  I also don't get signal in most of the state of Maine, or at my dad's place in California.  not surprising though.  In Maine, I have signal right up until I get north of Portland.  Unfortunately, I have a lot of family that lives north of Portland.  My dad's place in California, is out in the middle of the Mojave desert, so it isn't terribly surprising to not get service out there.  I think AT&T is the only provider with signal out there.

My internet is fantastic, and for some reason, I have better coverage with IT than I do with voice service.

Having the GPS in my Mogul works fantastic, especially with the latest ROM.

Price-wise, Sprint can't be beat.  I mean, if you are a NEW Sprint customer, it may not be quite as good, but I have 4 lines, with 2200 minutes, unlimited data on 2 lines, unlimited text on all 4, and I pay under $140/month.  Hard to beat that.  The longer you are with Sprint, the better the deals you can get from them.

The Mogul itself is my favorite phone out there.  I prefer it over the iPhone and Instint, and similar type phones.  I just really like the slideout keyboard as opposed to the virtual keyboards.  It has pretty much every feature I could want.  Battery life is pretty good, and call quality is good.  The 2GB MicroSD card I use is plenty of space to store junk.

as far as me and my mogul i have no complaints and as for sprint i have not had any problems....... of course if you call occassionally you'll get that one c.s. rep that is just having a bad day and is nearing the end of there shift (not to excuse there actions) but there are many instances where i get more service that my girlfriend who has the tmobile wing on the tmobile network not to mention faster internet/download speeds and memory and from my friends experience with the at&t tilt it tends to lag and im not sure if it is 3g or not but that doesn t make a difference because evdo rev.a is faster anyways so really for me it boiled down to sprint and verison and needless to say the simply eveything plan sealed the deal for me......by the way im inthe north florida region but i make frequent trips to central & south florida also
