I was at a sprint store earlier and looking at a Diamond and they told me that you cant send pics via text message like every other normal phone in the world!!!! That is very frustrating and may change my mind about getting it. Am i missing some hack or a way to still send pics via text? Any insite would be apprecitated...Thanks

As far as I know, Sprint is developing a way for WinMo users to send pics on their network.
For now, as long as you have Picture Mail set up on your Sprint account, you can use sMMS, found on forum.ppcgeeks.com

ive tried sprint picture mail..and downloaded a smms program..cant get it to work..if anyone can help i sure would appreciate...

Ok, i just wanted to let you guys know that the Diamond and Pro both can send picture mail through text messaging. I have a Diamond and when I activated it I had to talk to a teir 1 tech because you have to set up the phone differently than any other wm phone sprint has. The new Diamond and Pro are part of Sprint's first Open Handset Alliance phones. This means more software yippee. Anyway in case your wondering, I do have a DIamond and yes I have sent picture mail several times already, you just need to activate pic mail through the sprint website via your phones browser only.

There's only one sMMS program that works for Sprint phones, and it's specifically called "sMMS".

Picture Mail works on the Diamond. You get the picture file delivered to your phone (as you're supposed to). It's even threaded just like texts.

HOLY COW! That's the threaded messenger for sprint diamond? What did they do, completely replace the winmo text messenger app? interesting... can you possibly youtube an example text message?

no thats just the picture mail app. text messages on the diamond use the regular wm6.1 messages
