Does anyone know how fast the battery drains on wifi? My mogul goes dead in the middle of the night if it's not plugged in. Granted I should turn wifi off, but sometimes I might forget.
Is there an option to turn wifi off when the phone is off? i.e. when you press the power button. It seems like it stays on and kills the battery unless I specifically press the toggle switch.
Thanks!

i agree. i feel as if the battery life isn't great at all. i find that i have to charge the phone twice a day. this morning it was at 100% and by late afternoon, i was down to 20%. i really didn't use wi-fi much either

From another thread I read, Bluetooth takes up a lot of the phones battery life, so imo turn it off when it's not in use.
Also something eles to try is remove the battery for a good 3 minutes or so, then put it back in and charge it completely over night. This will ensure the battery gets a full charge without saying it's at 100% when it really isn't. The next day you should have a lot better luck with the battery, as I did this too and it lasted me all day yesterday without a problem.

After about 4 or 5 FULL battery charges (full battery draining followed by full re-charge) my battery's perfomance increased significaantly... I would venture to say that it got a bout 40% to 50% better!! Even the manual states so.
The manual states (page14): "Some batteries perform best after several full charge/dischage cycles."
My first week with the Mogul was charging off and on all day because sync-ing with my desktop, then sync with my laptop, at night, in the office (just in case) etc. After I re-read this section on the manual, I did not plugged my Mogul to neither a charger nor a computer. I waited until it was fully discheged then I fully charged it (at least 1 hour after the light turned green... aprox 5-6 hours and the manual states 4 hours). I did notice an increased battery life! You guys should do this.

I'll give this a try and hope it improves. Yesterday it lasted only 12 hours with limited use. (And thats without using bluetooth or wi-fi).

Great info and I'm glad to hear the battery is performing better.
When you say 40-50% better, how does your bettery perform now, and what do you usually run (BT, wifi, etc)? Thanks for the info.

Personally I'm getting about 16 hours off mine, with above average use. I always have BT & WiFi on. I have it check mail every hour.

My battery is lasting three full days but right now I'm not using any BT/WiFi. Currently I am using internet over EVDO, lots of minutes a day of PocketPC applications and often email checking. Having BT on (all day), the battery lasted two full days.
I might not be a heavy BT/WiFi user but, comparing to my standard use, the increase battery life was notorious after following the manual's instructions.
